EXPLORING CRIME

below details of our Exploring Crime Conference which will be on the 10th -
11th July at the
The
conference will be very intense and students will have a mix of presentations
and hands on session. They will have the opportunity to examine a crime
scene and to take theirs and other delegates fingerprints. Both of these
session will be supported by presentations to enable the students to gain an in
depth insight into the area. We will also have a reformed prisoner
speaking and they will have the opportunity in the evening to speak to him in
small groups and ask the questions they would like answering about life behind
bars.

The
Role of the Forensic Pathologist - explore the role of the Forensic Pathologist (please note slides during this
presentation are often of a graphic nature due to the subject matter)
Reformed
Prisoner - an
insight into life behind bars and after
Female
Offending -
(interactive session exploring true life case studies)
Psycopathy - We look at nature v nuture,
the HARE psycopathy check list and discuss who and
what a psycopath is.
Cold
Cases -
Investigate the role of the Police and Forensic Scientist's
and their approach in carrying out Cold Case reviews and the convictions
this can lead to.
Graphology (forensic document examination) -
Examine the fascinating area of the handwriting of criminals - what does your
writing tell about you!!!!
We are now
taking provisional bookings please email with your requirements and a full
brochure and booking form will be sent out. Please note in order to
secure your places a deposit of £20 is required with 14 days of you placing
your provisional booking. Schools/colleges please contact us if you
require longer than the 14 days from an administrative point of view.
